Pocket Hearts Fun To Share
Louie's pocket hearts are so much fun to create for four reasons:
I am never quite sure how things fill look, until the kiln is opened
They are made in a cast iron biscuit mold
They use up precious glass odds and ends
People smile when you give them one
They make great wedding keepsakes, as they can be created in so many different colors.
Dichroic Fused Glass Hearts
Dichroic glass is a fascinating product that is both ancient and modern. This reflective phenomenon is known as thin-film physics. It's the reason you see swirling rainbow patterns in a soap bubble, floating colors in oil on water and the dramatic colors of dragonfly wings.
Tried something a little bit different with this heart. Think it turned out fun!
